Some washing tips to keep your underwear looking its best Wash your garment by hand in lukewarm water or in the washing machine on a gentle wash cycle at 40° maximum. Choose a quality, pH-balanced laundry detergent, using only half as much as the amount you would normally use. Make sure the detergent you use is bleach-free. Bleach damages natural cotton fibers. Contrary to popular belief, fabric softener is harmful to cotton fabrics, particularly for our twisted cottons. The tight weave causes the fabric softener to get trapped, damaging the fibers. From the next wash, try not using it and you will see the difference. Choose a low spin cycle to keep the weave of the fabric intact in this way.
